Supermarket Action – Hand in Petition Cards
 

Download the Supermarket Petition card by clicking on the image and print out your own. Or place an order for you and your friends of pre-printed Supermarket Petition cards by email: supermarket@fairtrade.org.nz Don't forget to include your postal address!!
 

Talk to Your Local Store Manager

Why not hand in your Supermarket Petition card to your local store manager and at the same time ask him/her about their store's Fairtrade commitments. Download the Store Manager Talking Points document - which has some useful talking points and tips to help you.

Targeted Supermarket Campaign Activities

During New Zealand’s annual Fairtrade promotional event ‘Fair Trade Fortnight’ (3rd – 18th May ‘08) we are giving campaign supporters the opportunity to take direct action. A number of ‘high profile’ supermarkets have been identified across the country which will be targeted during an ‘outside of store’ campaign.

This will take the form of a stand (optional) outside the chosen supermarket with supporters distributing information to shoppers about Fairtrade and encouraging them to hand in petition cards in-store. Fairtrade information such as leaflets, posters, petition cards are all available from the Fair Trade Association who will provide these materials free of charge to supporters.

Please let us know if you want to be involved in these activities as we are able to provide resources, information and advice etc. This is a coordinated activity and to ensure that no duplication of supermarkets etc. takes place we do need to know if you’d like to get involved so that we can plan your activities into the overall campaign – contact us at: supermarket@fairtrade.org.nz.
 

Fair Trade Fortnight ‘08

Fair Trade Fortnight (3rd to 18th May) is a two week celebration highlighting to consumers and businesses how their everyday buying decisions can help to make a world of difference. Fair trade supporters across New Zealand will take part in a series of events and activities.
